Colorado Fashion Week: Day 5 Runway Shows Come to an End

Colorado Fashion Week ends the runway shows today, October 1st, 2011 to wrap up the fall season. Three designers will be showing, Barrera by Juan Andres Jimenez, Common Era Boutique, and Blue Fish Sport. With a diverse lineup composing of couture, nightgows and sportswear the final night of runway shows should be exquisite. Tickets will be available at the door and the location. The location for Colorado Fashion Week on October 1st is now at the Studio Loft of the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, next to the Buell Theatre. We hope to see you all there and close to shows with a successful note.

Tonights event is a very well established Denver-local designer, Gino Velardi. We are very excited for all Colorado to see this designer's wonderful work of art.

Colorado Fashion Week: Day 3

The inspiration for the Autumn/Winter Collection began during the peaceful walks down Battery Park in New York City. Those beautiful Japanese Blossom trees perfectly aligned on the pathway. Walking around enjoyig the cold ocean breeze and watching the petals flake away.

The silhouttes of the collection are very relaxed yet very form fitting and seductively tailored. With black and white blossom printed silks being the most important element of the collection, other elements such as faux fur in wine color scheme and a variety of textured wools, Barrera is sure to delievered a promising collection.

The inspiration for the spring/summer collection came to me on my journey from Montreal to London. This collection is very soft and light, with the main elements being printed silks and bright solid chiffons, following the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. From rouched and ruffled tops, to form-fitting pencil skirts, Barrrera will delivered a very "lady" like collection. Black, ivory, ruby, canary, emerald, and deep purple represent the forefront and meaning of the collection.

Certainly with spring being a very colorful season, Barrera will bring those unique statement pieces while keeping it very simple, classic, and elegant. The cuts and silhouettes of the collection are loosely-fitted and free spirited, yet closely fitted and accentuating the female body, making the very sensual.
